They were specifically wondering whether clinics in and around Oak Bay only take same-day appointments, and whether there was an option to book an appointment well-ahead of time. | One local suggested Telus Health MyCare online or app as an option and another said that there is a mini emergency room at Pandora urgent care which has family physicians, nurses, and provides diagnosis for a variety of minor acute illnesses. Others suggested the Jack Nathan Clinic at Hillside Mall as well as the Oak Bay Medical Clinic. Most noted that while there are options available, making an appointment can be a challenge. | |

| | | Fireworks | Several locals were discussing fireworks this week after several community members said they were woken up around 2am by the sound of fireworks on Thursday morning. While most locals expect there to be fireworks occasionally, to mark celebrations or events, some said that they are really bothered by them, and how they can be traumatic to animals, and people who have PTSD. In this case, the fireworks appeared to have been set off over the water on Beach Drive, and the package was found by a walker the next day.
