The map for Oak Bay’s biggest garage sale today.

Good morning, Oak Bay.

One enormous garage sale takes over Oak Bay today.

Garagellenium runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The live map is below (and at oakbaygaragesale.com). Grey house pins are regular sales. Green star pins are the ones giving proceeds to charity. No early birds. Bring small bills, and expect tight parking on the narrow streets.

Also inside: Oak Bay's emergency survey numbers, a Green Map partnership recommendation, track repairs through Monday, the storm-night group thread, and a few neighbours who could use a hand.

Fresh from the Facebook Group

Lightning strikes a utility pole on Florence Street. A neighbour reported the strike Thursday night. BC Hydro came to the scene, and the group helped get parked cars moved out of the work zone.

🐕

Jack is home after the storm. The Australian shepherd bolted near Uplands Park during the thunder. The post was updated to say he had been found after neighbours shared the alert.

An Uplands Park e-scooter post starts a bigger conversation. One neighbour reported four young riders travelling off trail in the ecologically sensitive park. The post drew 41 comments about access, enforcement, and protecting the camas meadow.
