Construction of the site was subsequently delayed to February, and Oak Bay Parks then said completion would be by mid-March. Those checking the site daily said they’ve never seen anyone working there, including construction crews, and wonder whether the project is a priority. | While some said construction delays are understandable, others commented that staff has been telling excited kids for months—and as recently as last week—that they expect the park to open “any day now”. Many said they would have liked to have had more transparency in the matter and a clearer picture of the project’s timeline. | | |
